This project started in the fall of 2012 and had many changes along the way. Throughout this journey, there were several trips to the West Side Trail to gather information and gain a better understanding of just how special this trail is.

On September 28, 2013, National Public Lands Day, volunteers gathered to install the first set of interpretive panels. Visitors will be able to first stop by Kiosk 1 and then Kiosk 2 before heading down the well-traveled path, where the remaining trail panels to be installed soon.

This slide show shares pictures of the hard work done by the many people in partnered agencies as well as members of the community. It also contains some of the beautiful scenery that is waiting to greet you when you discover the West Side Trail.
